"Our wedding was August 18th 2012. Since we had over 200 guests attending from all over the US, we wanted a full outdoor wedding weekend experience. We planned a rafting trip, golfing, lunch on the lake, rehearsal dinner up at Big Springs Lodge and the wedding on the Overlook Pavilion at Northstar. We had a whimsical vintage themed wedding with a color palate of champagne, orange, purple and black. There were elements of pearl and lace included all throughout the design.
My favorite design element was probably my wedding dress. I actually found it on a clearance rack in a small boutique in Danville, CA. It had a Victorian vintage look with unique elements of lace and pearl. It was the perfect dress. My bouquet (the bride’s bouquet) was a mix of brooches and flowers. The combination was gorgeous.
One of our favorite parts of the wedding was the dance party. It was incredible to have literally all 200 of our guests on the dance floor dancing their hearts out.
Advice:
Everyone tells you this but you’ll only remember 10 minutes of your wedding day. It’s true! It’s extremely important to soak in every second of the day. Make sure to enjoy each and every moment. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Something won’t go as planned. It actually rained our wedding weekend and we had to adjust, but it was still the most amazing weekend of our lives and we wouldn’t change it for anything!"
I was at this wedding and the colors were definitely my favorite part. They were bold and daring but all the decor was very tasteful and fun! Very on trend for right now by the way...
Side note- Tim loved his wedding experience he wanted to spend every day here and now sits right next to me at work, LOL! Small world. And I get to have wine in the Village with Becky from time to time. Life is sweet!
